Join the Princeton Preparatory Schools Family!

We welcome applications year-round, but with our intentionally small school community, spots fill up quickly. Our admissions process focuses on understanding each child's readiness for school and potential to thrive in a Montessori environment. For children without prior Montessori experience, we seek those with a natural curiosity, a genuine love of learning, and the ability to work independently. Successful students are collaborative, responsible, and eager to engage in a dynamic, self-directed classroom.

At Princeton Preparatory Schools, we value a strong partnership with our families. We believe Montessori education is more than a teaching method. It’s a way of life. We look for parents who share our educational philosophy, faith, and are excited about the journey of lifelong learning.

Admissions Process

We are delighted that you are considering joining the Princeton Preparatory Schools family. Our admissions process is designed to help families learn about our school while ensuring that each child is a strong fit for our Christian Montessori environment.

Step 1: Schedule a School Tour

The admissions journey begins with a visit to our campus. During your tour, you will learn more about our Christian Montessori philosophy, explore our classrooms, and meet members of our school community.

Step 2: Request a Trial Week

After your tour, families who feel that Princeton Preparatory Schools may be a good fit for their child are invited to notify the school if they would like to schedule a Trial Day or Trial Week so their child can experience our classroom environment firsthand.

Step 3: Trial Day or Trial Week

Your child will participate in a Trial Day or Trial Week, giving them the opportunity to experience the classroom environment and daily routines. During this time, teachers observe how students engage with the Montessori materials and interact within the classroom community. The Trial Week runs Monday through Friday and helps both the school and family determine if Princeton Preparatory Schools is the right fit.

Step 4: Admissions Decision

Following the trial visit, families will receive communication regarding the status of their child’s admission. If accepted, families will receive an official offer of enrollment. If we determine that our program is not the best fit at that time, we will communicate this with families respectfully. A “not a good fit” decision is not a rejection of the child, but rather a responsible step toward ensuring the child receives the support and environment needed to thrive.

Step 5: Enrollment Documentation

Families who choose to move forward with enrollment will be asked to complete and submit the required enrollment documents and forms for their child.

Step 6: Enrollment Confirmation

Once all required documents and fees have been submitted and processed, your child’s enrollment will be officially confirmed and their place in the program secured.

Step 7: Preparing for the School Year

Prior to the start of the school year, families will receive important information to help them prepare, including school procedures, important dates, and classroom expectations. Families will also be invited to attend a Parent Orientation, where they will learn more about our school culture, policies, and how to support their child’s transition into the classroom.

Our goal is to ensure a smooth and joyful transition for both students and families as they begin their journey at Princeton Preparatory Schools.

Important Admissions Information:

  • Your child’s class placement will be confirmed once all required forms and documentation are submitted.

  • We process applications on a first-come, first-served basis. If a spot is offered but another family completes all forms and payments first, the spot will go to the family with a completed submission.

  • As a small school community, enrollment is intentionally limited to preserve the quality of our programs. When a class reaches capacity, families may request to be placed on our waiting list and will be contacted if a space becomes available.

Enrollment Criteria

We use the following guidelines when determining class placement and enrollment for applicants:

  • A space must be available in the appropriate program.

  • All required forms and documentation must be fully completed and submitted to the school.

  • Enrollment fees and tuition payments must be made in full.

  • Children entering the Casa Program must be at least three years old by September 1.

  • Children entering the Casa Program must be fully potty trained. Children who are not yet potty trained should enroll in the Toddler Program until they are ready.

  • The child demonstrates an emerging ability to show independence and respond positively to guidance within the classroom environment.

Please Note: Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. If a place is offered but another family who toured at the same time completes their forms and payment first, the spot will be reserved for the child whose enrollment is finalized first.

If you have any questions about the enrollment process or need application forms, please feel free to contact us. We are always happy to assist you.

Waiting List Information

If spots are not available, you can request to be added to our waiting list for the following semester or year. Priority is given to siblings of currently enrolled students, provided there is an available spot that meets the child's age and gender requirements.

Spaces are limited for the upcoming school year. To get started, please fill out our tour form and schedule a tour. We look forward to welcoming your family to Princeton Preparatory Schools!

Financial Commitment

Commitment to the three-year developmental cycles of our program is essential. Families should only enroll their children if they are prepared to allow the child to complete the full three-year cycle. While this is ideal, we understand that circumstances may change. To accommodate transient families and other unforeseen situations, students are typically enrolled for the entire academic year, including summer if applicable, unless otherwise specified.

Families are responsible for adhering to the financial obligations of the school. Once enrollment is confirmed, the school commits to ensuring the child’s place for the entire year. Tuition payments are essential for the operation of the school, including funding salaries, supplies, and capital improvements. As such, tuition payments are non-refundable, and the obligation to pay full tuition cannot be canceled, regardless of student absence, dismissal by the school, or withdrawal by the parents for any reason, at any time during the year.
